When you choose to view a specific product in DolphinRTK, this opens its Product Information page. This page shows the product's MSDS and various other recorded data, such as the product's ingredients, hazard information, locations where the product is used or stored, and more.
Unless your system is configured to show a "minimalistic" MSDS view, the Product Information page shows a number of buttons in the upper right, near its hazard information. Each button opens an area of the product's recorded data. See below for details on each area.
Note: Opening the Product Information page may cause another file or website to open in a separate window. This is an attachment (an additional file uploaded to supplement the product's data) set to open automatically whenever this product is opened. See Attachments below for details.
Regardless of whether the Product Information page shows a "minimalistic" view, its upper right corner shows a portion of the product's hazard information: either NFPA/HMIS pictograms or GHS signal word and pictograms, depending on which information is recorded for the product:
If the product has no recorded GHS signal word or pictograms: The product's hazard ratings are shown in a US NFPA pictogram (also known as NFPA 704 or a "fire diamond") and an HMIS pictogram ("color bar"). These ratings score the product's hazards in various areas from 0 (non-hazardous or barely hazardous) to 4 (extremely hazardous).
If a product has a recorded GHS signal word and/or GHS pictograms: These GHS classifications are shown, including one signal word and up to four pictograms. Mouse-over a pictogram to view its meaning.
Click the information () icon for details on the product's hazard information. This opens the Hazard Classifications display, which shows all of the product's recorded hazard information, including GHS signal words and pictograms and also classifications from other systems. A full description is given for each pictogram, code, and term. Any recorded NFPA and HMIS hazard ratings are also shown here.
