Reports

A report is a document (often a spreadsheet) showing selected data from your system. DolphinRTK offers a variety of reports; each shows different data, such as products' hazard classifications, locations and the products found at each, or all product ingredients cited by a certain regulatory list.

When you run a report, you can run it with default options or advanced options. Default options generally include all active and applicable data from your system, while advanced options let you focus the report on certain data. For example, you can specify the data types you wish to see, sort the report by any of these data types, and enter criteria (as you might when performing an advanced search). When you then run the report, the report output shows only the data matching your options.

DolphinRTK's reporting feature can generate any of the documents described below.

MSDS Books

An MSDS book is a collection of MSDSs assembled into a single PDF file. The book includes a title page, table of contents, and the desired MSDSs. Each MSDS is preceded by a cover page showing its product name, manufacturer, revision date, and any other data you select (such as its internal ID, chemical ingredients, or location assignments). After you generate an MSDS book, it can be saved, printed, and otherwise treated like any other PDF file.

Note: To generate an MSDS book, your workstation must have a PDF-viewing tool (such as Adobe Reader) installed.

For more details on MSDS books and how to create them, see Printing an MSDS Book.

Product Reports

A product report is a spreadsheet showing products from your product list and various related data. Examples: the Characteristics report shows products' physical characteristics; the Products Without Indexed Data report shows all products having no recorded data of a selected type; the Products at Locations report shows locations from your location tree and the products assigned to each. Become familiar with these and other product reports to learn which ones show the data you need in different situations.

Each product report can be generated in three formats: HTML, PDF (requires a PDF-viewing tool such as Adobe Reader), and Excel (requires Microsoft Excel). Once generated, the report can be treated like any other file of that format.

DolphinRTK offers the following product reports. Click these links for details on each report:

List Matching Reports

Note: These reports require access to list matching data.

A list matching report is a spreadsheet showing which ingredients in your products are cited by regulatory chemical lists. These reports help you track and address any regulated substances in your inventory. Some list matching reports show product ingredients cited by any regulatory list you select (such as Products Found on Regulatory List) while others offer greater detail from specific lists (such as the SARA 313 Ingredients and California Proposition 65 reports). Become familiar with these and other list matching reports to learn which ones will show the data you need in different situations. You can learn more about specific regulatory lists using the Click here for info on regulatory lists link found with the menu of list matching reports.

Most list matching reports can be generated in three formats: HTML, PDF (requires a PDF-viewing tool such as Adobe Reader), and Excel (requires Microsoft Excel). Once generated, the report can be treated like any other file of that format.
